【Domestic News】Industrial Technology Research Institute Participated in the Largest Professional Exhibition in Asia to Explore the High-Power Power Electronics Market

      The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) participates in the "NEPCON JAPAN -Electronics Development and Packaging Exhibition- 2025" on Jan 22. The exhibition has four special areas, namely "Electric Vehicle Drive and Charging Solutions", "Power Semiconductor GaN (Gallium Nitride)", "Power Semiconductor Ga₂O₃ (Gallium Oxide)" and "High power 400kW DC-DC Converter", showcases more than ten cutting-edge achievements of next-generation wide band gap (WBG) power semiconductor technology. The exhibition site attracted more than 80,000 visitors, and business negotiations were held with many auto parts manufacturers and Oems, demonstrating that Taiwan's technical capabilities in the field of automotive semiconductors, from device design to verification, are highly recognized internationally.

      ITRI is focusing on the design and development of the next generation of power devices, this exhibition also demonstrated the use of advanced manufacturing technology to develop "Gallium Nitride (GaN)" and "Gallium Oxide (Ga₂O₃)" and other power devices, has received many domestic and international auto parts manufacturers consultation and business negotiations. In order to meet the opportunities and challenges of the new era, ITRI focuses on the new value and demand of the market, and has formulated the "2035 Technology Strategy and Roadmap" as the research and development guideline. At the same time, ITRI will further promote the application of smart mobility and strengthen cross-field collaboration through the development of "technologies to realize intelligence". ITRI will promote the sustainable economic and social development of the industry through technological innovation, and accelerate the commercialization and application expansion of technologies in close collaboration with domestic and international partners, thereby providing new growth drivers for the electric vehicle and semiconductor industries.
