On February 27, the 4th of Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences was successfully held in Wang Daheng Hall. More than 80 experts and enterprise representatives attended the forum, and the online live broadcast covered more than 1700 people. Mr. Zhang Long, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Mr. Shao Yuchuan, Deputy Director and Mr. Yu Jinxu, Deputy Director of Information Department of The Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, attended the forum. This forum is moderated by Qi Hongji.
Aiming at the major needs of national semiconductor materials, the forum focused on the growth process, defect control technology and device application scenarios of five representative crystalline materials in the field of wide and ultra-wide band gap semiconductor materials (SiC, GaN, Ga2O3, AIN, Diamond). Chen Xiaolong, IInstitute of Physics CAS, Professor Tao Xutang, Shandong University, Xu Ke, Suzhou Institute of Nanotechnology and Nanobionics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr. Wu Liang, Ultratrend Technologies Inc., and Professor Zhu Jiaqi, Harbin Institute of Technology, are invited to give an invited report, aiming to exchange the latest industry trends in industry research. Promote domestic research innovation and development in the field of wide band gap and ultra-wide band gap semiconductors. The experts at the meeting deeply analyzed the crystal growth dynamics mechanism of semiconductor materials, the bottleneck of industrialization technology and the application path from a multi-dimensional perspective, triggering online and offline cross-regional academic dialogue. This academic activity built a three-dimensional communication network covering "academic frontier - technology breakthrough - industry landing", formed an important consensus on key technology roadmap planning, interdisciplinary research team formation, etc., promoted the deep integration of industry, education and research, and supported Shanghai to cultivate the fourth-generation semiconductor industry in the future.
