      Zhang Xiaodong has long been dedicated to the research of semiconductor materials, devices and processes, possessing rich technical accumulation and innovative consciousness. He has received honors such as the National May Day Labor Medal, Technical Support Talent of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangsu Province May Day Labor Medal, Suzhou City May Day Labor Medal, Suzhou "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" Promising Youth, and Suzhou Skills Grand Prize.

      Starting from the demands of core basic components, he developed an enhanced Gallium Nitride high electron mobility transistor technology with independent intellectual property rights, which won the top award in the finals of the National Ministry Innovation Competition. We have overcome multiple technical difficulties in high-brightness Gallium Nitride micro-light-emitting diodes, and achieved the development of self-luminous ultra-high-resolution micro-display chips with high luminous efficiency and excellent color performance. He won the second prize in the national finals of the National Ministry Challenge Competition. Research on ultra-wide band gap semiconductor Gallium Oxide materials and devices has been carried out, and multiple technical indicators such as photodetectors and power devices are at the international advanced level. He has presided over more than ten scientific research projects at the national, provincial and municipal levels, published over 60 SCI papers, and applied for more than 40 domestic and international invention patents.

      While doing his best to support scientific research, Zhang Xiaodong has also been actively involved in the development of nanotechnology talents. He has guided students to win honors such as the third prize in the National Finals of the China Graduate Contest on Chip Design, the silver award in the National Finals of the China College Students' 'Internet+'Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the silver award in the National Finals of the China College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition. He has taken solid steps on the path of cultivating "craftsmen" and has sent a group of highly skilled talents to leading enterprises in the industry.
