On May 15th, the 2025 Fourth-Generation Semiconductor Technology Conference was grandly held in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, jointly organized by the Hangzhou International Science and Technology Innovation Center of Zhejiang University (referred to as the Innovation Center), Semiconductor Online, Hangzhou GAREN SEMI Co., LTD., Ultratrend Technologies Inc., and Ningbo Crysdiam Technology Co., LTD. The conference consists of one main session, three sub-sessions and one roundtable dialogue.
The conference attracted over 400 experts and scholars from domestic and international universities and research institutes, and more than 30 companies from the semiconductor industry participated in the exhibition. At the meeting, over 40 renowned experts and scholars from domestic and international shared their latest research achievements, mainly focusing on important themes such as the growth and processing of fourth-generation semiconductor crystals like Gallium Oxide, Diamond, and Aluminum Nitride, thin films and epitaxy, power and optoelectronic devices, related equipment, and industrial development.
01 Expert Report
According to the on-site information feedback and the statistics of the alliance, there were a total of 19 reports related to Gallium Oxide at this conference. The roundtable dialogue covered the research progress and industrialization development of Gallium Oxide, Diamond, and Aluminum Nitride.
At the main forum, Professor Tao Xutang from Shandong University, Chen Zimin from Sun Yat-sen University, Wei Qiangmin, the chief expert of Jiufengshan Laboratory, Professor Shan Chongxin from Zhengzhou University, Professor Ye Jiandong from Nanjing University, Shi Dongmei, the former chief technical officer of the High-tech Research and Development Center of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Zhang Daohua, the chief scientist of the fourth-generation semiconductor at Shenzhen Pinghu Laboratory, delivered wonderful reports related to Gallium Oxide.

In the sub-forums, Zhang Wenrui, a researcher at YongJiang Laboratory & Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xu Guangwei, a researcher at University of Science and Technology of China, Yin Changshuai, from Wuhan University, Xiao Ming, a professor at Xidian University, Liu Wenjun, a professor at Fudan University, Zhang Fabi, a professor at Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Zhu Mengjian, a professor at National University of Defense Technology, Huang Wenhai, an associate professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Zhang Maolin, pre hired Professor of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Xu Wenhui, an assistant researcher at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhang Chaoyi, from Tongji University, He Yunlong, an associate professor at Xidian University, and Jin Zhu, a researcher at the Advanced Semiconductor Research Institute of Zhejiang University Hangzhou International Science and Technology Innovation Center, delivered wonderful reports on Gallium Oxide.

02 Focus on Members
A total of 9 alliance member units participated in this exhibition, namely Fujian Sunwise Semiconductor Co., Ltd. at A4, Hangzhou GAREN SEMI Co., Ltd. at A7-8, Suzhou GAO Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. at A26, Tianjin Wondersino International Trade Co., Ltd. at A29, and Hangzhou Fujia Gallium Technology Co., Ltd. at A33. Shanghai Maotoo Specialty Gases Co., Ltd at A35, Shandong Liguan Microelectronics Equipment Co., Ltd. at A37, Shandong Jingsheng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. at A43 and Shenzhen Vector Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd. at A45. It is believed that this participation has also brought rich gains to all member units and has positive significance for promoting the industrialization process of the Gallium Oxide industry.
03 Alliance Activities
At this meeting, the staff of the alliance participated in depth as attendees and, from the perspective of the audience, learned about the latest development trends of the fourth-generation semiconductor technology. Through in-depth exchanges with many experts and scholars engaged in Gallium Oxide research and related exhibitors, we have gained a more comprehensive and three-dimensional understanding of the current situation and development trends of the industry. During the conference, the alliance has expanded 5 potential member units and established connections with several experts in the field of Gallium Oxide. They had in-depth discussions on the current research directions and industrial pain points, which not only deepened our understanding of the technical path but also further clarified the key issues currently faced. In the future, the alliance will continue to play the role of a platform, building a bridge of cooperation between various enterprises and between enterprises and universities, promoting the coordinated development of Gallium Oxide materials in the research and industrial fields, and support the accelerated implementation and application expansion of the Gallium Oxide industry.
