【Member News】Recognition for Xidian’s Breakthrough in Independently Controlled Ga₂O₃ Epitaxy! Silver Award in the New Generation Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence Category

      On October 28, the 3rd National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, themed “Forty Years of Innovation, Intelligence Empowering the Future,” successfully concluded. As the largest, most prestigious, and most wide-ranging national postdoctoral competition, this year’s event attracted 8,006 projects (proposals) and 36,000 participants from across the country.

      Xidian University sent 20 teams to the national finals, covering all four categories — Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Overseas (Belt and Road), and Jiebang Competitions. The university achieved remarkable success, winning 2 silver awards, 3 bronze awards, and 5 merit awards, marking a new record in both participation and achievement. During the project signing session, Xidian ranked first nationwide in the number of signed projects, fully demonstrating the university’s vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities among young researchers.

      Notably, Professor Chen Dazheng from the School of Integrated Circuits led the project titled “Independently Controllable Epitaxial Technology and Industrialization of Ultrawide Bandgap Semiconductor Gallium Oxide,” which won the Silver Award in the High-End Equipment Manufacturing & Robotics, New Generation Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence category. This achievement highlights Xidian University’s continuous progress in scientific innovation and the industrial application of advanced semiconductor technologies.
