Message from the expert

As a new generation of semiconductor materials, gallium oxide is the most promising material in the market after third-generation semiconductor silicon carbide and gallium nitride. Compared to them, gallium oxide based devices have higher voltage resistance, lower losses, higher efficiency, smaller size, and other characteristics. At the same time, they also have great advantages in ultraviolet detection. The latest ruling by the US Department of Commerce's Industry and Security Bureau in August this year includes strong controls on China's gallium oxide exports. Vigorously developing gallium oxide related industries is beneficial for China to master core technologies and gain competitive advantages in the new round of technological competition.
