On April 23, 2026, at the 2026 Jiufengshan Forum held in Wuhan, Beijing Orient Semi Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Orient Semi”) officially joined the Asia Gallium Oxide Alliance. The signing ceremony was jointly completed by Zhao Jinyao, General Manager of Orient Semi, and Fei Xuemei, Secretary-General of the Alliance. This milestone marks Orient Semi’s formal integration into the global collaborative network of the gallium oxide industry as an IDM enterprise focused on fourth-generation semiconductor Gallium Oxide.

The Asian Gallium Oxide Alliance is an authoritative industry organization dedicated to ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor gallium oxide. It brings together leading universities, research institutions, and key enterprises across the global industrial chain. The Alliance aims to build a collaborative innovation platform, promote material R&D, technological breakthroughs, commercialization of research achievement, and market applications, and support the development of a robust gallium oxide ecosystem while enhancing the global competitiveness of the industry.

According to the agreement, Beijing Orient Semi Co., Ltd. will leverage its capabilities in Gallium Oxide epitaxial growth and device manufacturing to share technical resources with alliance members and align with industry needs. The collaboration will focus on key areas such as upstream and downstream coordination, packaging and testing of ultra-high-voltage power devices, and reliability validation, aiming to accelerate the transition of domestically developed Gallium Oxide products from “engineering prototypes” to “large-scale applications.”
“Joining the Asia Gallium Oxide Alliance is a crucial step in our industrialization roadmap,” said Zhao Jinyao following the signing ceremony. “The Alliance brings together leading forces in the global Gallium Oxide field. Through collaborative innovation, we aim to accelerate the deployment of domestically developed ultra-high-voltage power devices in applications such as smart grids and industrial inverters.”
Fei Xuemei, Secretary-General of the Alliance, welcomed the company’s participation: “As one of the few domestic enterprises with IDM capabilities in Gallium Oxide, Orient Semi has filled a key gap with its 3300V ultra-high-voltage devices. The Alliance will fully support its technology iteration and market expansion, and work together to build a robust Gallium Oxide ecosystem in Asia.”
Previously, at the forum, Orient Semi unveiled its Gallium Oxide Schottky diode product portfolio covering 650V to 3300V and opened reservations for engineering samples. Following its accession to the Alliance, the company will further leverage international collaboration channels to connect with global application scenarios and promote the adoption of domestically developed Gallium Oxide technologies in the global market.
