Asian Gallium Oxide Alliance (AGOA) was established in July 2022, jointly initiated by several well-known universities, research institutes, and industrial enterprises across Asia. The alliance is dedicated to promoting innovation and application of ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor Gallium Oxide materials. With its excellent properties and broad prospects, Gallium Oxide is gradually becoming a core material driving the next generation of semiconductor technology revolution. Upholding the spirit of “Connect Next Generation,” AGOA integrates superior resources and builds an interdisciplinary and cross-sector innovation platform. Alliance unites industry strength to promote collective development and drive progress across the Gallium Oxide field.
In January 2024, the alliance established the “Hangzhou Fuyang Gallium Valley Gallium Oxide Industry Development Service Center” in Fuyang District, Hangzhou, marking its transformation from a virtual platform to a physical operation entity, further enhancing its organizational and service capabilities. As of June 2025, the alliance has over 60 members, covering the entire upstream and downstream of the Gallium Oxide industry chain. Through the construction of a “production–academia–research–application” collaborative system, AGOA continues to promote the transformation and large-scale application of scientific research achievements, accelerating the transition of Gallium Oxide from laboratory to market.
Adhering to the philosophy of “Professional, Focused, and Dedicated,” the Alliance continuously enhances its service capacity, drives industry standardization, and facilitates technological collaboration both domestically and internationally. It is actively broadening its global cooperation network to build cross-border bridges that enable resource sharing and technological synergy.
Looking ahead, AGOA will take service-driven and collaborative innovation as its core drivers, empowering industry partners to overcome key technological challenges of Gallium Oxide, expand its applications in new energy, rail transit, aerospace, and intelligent manufacturing, advance low-carbon and energy-efficient development, and position Gallium Oxide as a pivotal force in the ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor industry.
